Everybody,

I really have to thank this entire list and especially Dan Simoes for 
providing this "Home" for us folks that have this passion for a car 
called Audi.  The last 3 weeks have been a very hard time for me.  On 
July 14th I had a very good friend, Instructor partner and fellow racer 
named Jeff Krosnov killed at the Indy car race in Toronto.  I had talked 
to Jeff on friday the 12th and on sunday while watching the race with a 
friend I watched my friend get killed.  On Wednesday the 17th I had 3 
friends on TWA flight 800.  The Flight engineer who was on his first 
trans-atlantic flight and that I had just practiced hockey with on Monday 
night.  In first class sat a Assistant Director that I have gone to hell 
and back with for 8 years, a guy that always new the best places to eat, 
be it the middle of nowhere in South America, Downtown Toyko or anywhere 
else that we traveled.  With one infectious smile he could get you to 
pull off THE take even after you had been on your feet schleping a 85lbs 
Steadicam for the last 16.5 hours.  Next to him was a Production Manager 
that made the impossible possible and always got me something cool to 
drive on location. Hummers were her present favorite next to 911's and 
the inevitable rides back to the hotel that I would give her. She was 
terrified of flying.  And then finally today at 2:37pm my grandmother 
died.  

In between trying to work, catching the next flight to wherever and the 
funerals I have found an outlet, a source of humor and diversion here on 
the Quattro list.  Thanks folks.... Thanks Dan.
