Yup. Whereas BMW owners are automatons who don't really know why they are
doing it (unlike MB owners, who absolutely have no idea what goes on in
the car, except knowing that spending money is good), Audi owners are more
like a religious cult in which they understand if they do not do certain
things, Something Bad will Happen. That said, Audi owners have this
worshipper sort of relationship with Audis. Most know how it ticks and how
it's superior to other marques technically -- but most of all, they know
that unlike other marques, to own an Audi means one will be dealing with
the Audi deities.

Unlike BMW owners whom can just let the malfuntioning item to let it be,
Audi owners know the malfunctioning item is Audi deities' way of demanding
sacrifices/offerings. If the demand is not met, most likely cascade effect
will occur -- in whcih other things will begin to fail into One Big Crap
(term coined by the worshippers' Significant Others who do not believe in
this religion).

People who join Audi ownership is not attracted by so called prestige
(well, Audi has some... but somewhat obscure) nor virtual image created by
the company. These people know most things in this marque contribute
significantly to a faster, safer, enjoyable car. The letter "q" has went
through baptism of fire and it has proved itself worthy. These owners
(well, msot) also do not have tendency to tack on anything that does not
contribute to better performance (neon lights, gold plating, sissy aprons
and skirts, sprouting wings). Unlike other marque owners, Audi owners know
the term "beauty is beyond skin deep." BMW owners assume things; Audi
owners know it works (and MB owners have the foggiest idea what we're
talking about).

That said, I hope you didn't upset the Audi deities by questioning The
Faith.
