The next time you are over in the fatherland stop by a Budget rent a 
car, they rent the A8 4.3l and they have a weekend special for 300DM 
about $200.  It is a lot of fun putting a rental car through a 2 day 
driving test. I got my rental up to 162mph (280km/h) on the autobahn 
but there was snow on the road and my passenger was starting to freak.  
Anyway cant wait to return to try it again.
