Does your model year have that tic-tac-toe LED display above the 
rear-view mirror? As I recall, it relays the results of the "power-on self 
test" when the car is started. There is a button on it which will do an 
instant self-test too. I guess one would use the button if the windshield 
washer 
wasn't working, and one wanted to find out if  the resivoir was empty? :-) 
Seriously, *that* has got to be one of the most redundant gizmo-weenie things!
Otherwise, like you say, a SUPERB auto, esp. in a 5sp.

Yeah, I get the shakes thinking about working on it. Good think it has 3yr 
free maintenance. If something goes wrong, though.... My other car (Celica)
is down-right spacious compared to it. Doesn't fail to
amaze the masses either. Always good for an awe-struck "wow"
