Who needs a diesel/electric hybrid?

A6Q TDI

2.5 l turbo diesel with 140 HP motor.  A tree-stump pulling 290 Nm @ 1900 rpm
torque.  6 speed tranny.  0-62 @ 10.0 secs.  Max 206 kph (125 ish mph).  8.3
liters/100km city,  4.7/100 @ 90 kph hwy, 6.5/100 @ 120 kph hwy (28.6 mpg, city;
50.5 hwy @ 56 mph; 36.5 @ 75 hwy)

Of course, all you have to do is convince Audi to sell them in the US.
