At the risk of being pedantic, this isn't entirely true as a poorly designed
one will actually screw up the OEM aerodynamics!  I had a friend who mounted
a Kamei spoiler on the front of his Coupe and his mpg went down not up ... I
don't recall him mentioning any offsetting improvement in downforce, either,
so it was a lose-lose-lose (economy, performance, appearance) deal.   ;^)
