FWIW, Budget/Sixt gave me a A6 at 90DM (about $60 ?) per day at Munich when
they were out of an Auto in May.  I was supposed to get a Vectra for 80DM
reserved through the US.  They later charged my credit card for > $100 a day
because someone in the return counter thought it was a mistake.  I called my
credit card and my agent call Budget and they end up sticking to 90DM.  Best
to ask for auto and when you get there negotiate for a replacement since they
usually either don't have auto or only the luxury ones are with auto.

They advertised they will give you a C220 if ones available if you rent a
standard size car (whatever that is).  Sure would like to try the A8 the next
time I go.
