european car rentals with Budget/Dollar

Sorry, no Audi's yet, but maybe they will get on the ball and do the
same thing as Saab. Saab has agreements with Budget and Dollar to
provide 9000 at various locations. I was able to verify its the 9000
and not the 900. Sounds like its the V6 version. I understand that
model that had bad sales compared to their turbo versions.

I found this information in travel industry publications (my
profession) and Saabs web page. To the best of my research, Dollar
offers them in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Budget offers them in Denver.
There may be more cities involved, but both toll free 800 numbers do
not have all of their agents informed of the locations. Might be best
to call (or have your travel agent call) the city airport location to
verify the catagory to book and if they have them. Budgets 800# seems
to be more aware of the fact that Saabs are available and which cities.
Budget 800# does know about the Jaguars! You can rent one in many
cities for an affordable $100 plus daily rate!

Rates for the Saabs will vary depending if you have a corporate,
weekend, AAA rate, etc. It seems they are in a catagory which will
accept special rates. Unlike the Jaguar, which is premium and premium
only. I called the Budget counter at Denver International twice and
was told once its a full size car, the other time was told its premium!

I plan on calling my Budget and Dollar sales rep to get the specifics!
Sorry for the non audi content, but IMHO a Saab 9000 is better than
almost anything these rental compaines offer.
