Yep.  BTDT (my 5KT)...  The "block" that the glass is attached to had
become undone from the cable.  I had tried to repair mine without success,
so I replaced the entire regulator.  Some places sell the regulator
assembly without the motor, which would save you some $$.  I got mine
a few years ago from German Auto Salvage in Berkeley, CA. (new part)
for around $120.
