Re: The Red Mark
This past weekend I missed a shift and when I looked at the tack it
was coming down from above the first "red mark". I don't know how
high it went but I immediately got that warm fuzzy feeling. I pulled
over and checked oil pressure and idle smoothness and every thing
seemed fine. I better make a sacrafice to the Audi gods for this one.

>>>will going to the red mark hurt....<<<
Depends which red "mark" you are talking about. The very last
red "mark" will indeedy hurt. The first red "mark" while just a wittle
bit high for each shift--will take much longer to cause pain:)
As for the high revs, best advice is to back your right foot off
a little when you press your left foot in [down]. Think of it as
dancing, not clogging [sp?].
