   Had a souped up adnoH next to me on the way home today. What interested me
   was a guage mounted halfway up his drivers side A pillar - in a nice white
   plastic or fiberglass housing. Gauge was 2" or so. Housing was nicely shaped
   and pointed the guage at an angle to him - right at eye level. Anybody seen
   this before?

I've seen a number of ads in the assorted car rags for pillar-mounted
gauge pods; mostly for the more popular brands of cars though (specifi-
cally for the Mitsubishi Eclipse, and I think the Ford Mustang), never
for Audi.
