trembling speedo (5000)

Hope everyone is having a sweet weekend.

Finally dug into my instrument panel this morning to exorcise the OXS
light. Took about little over an hour since I had no idea where all the
screws were and how hard to pull on things. (Haynes manual did help a lot)

Got everything together after killing the light. Did think very hard about
yanking the OXS bulb out but didn't.

Now speedo trembles. I noticed a lot of grease on the bayonet mount. Wuz I
supposed the wipe off the grease from the center spinner on the cable or
lump more grease in there?
Any worldly advise appreciated. Probably didn't work the first time since I
didn't do any $$$ fiscal donation to the gods. Just time.


Now how hard would it be to wedge a V8 from a junked 92 on V8 into the
engine bay of a 5Kq. Hmmmm.


BTW, the OXS light came on around 93K miles. Must mean somebody tripped the
light at 30K miles. Short lived OXsensor????
