NHTSA web site, struck gold...
Heya there. My wife found the NHTSA WWW site today, and while the interface
is seriously quirky, it looks extremely useful. The part I'm on right
now lists the TSBs for different cars. For the Audi, I found the following:
CIS MOTRONIC ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT-SIGNAL FROM AIRFLOW HOUSING
POTENTIOMETER CAUSES MOTRONIC ENG CONTROL SYSTEMS TO MOMENTARILY SWITCH
INTO THE SYSTEM LIMP HOME MODE-IMPROVED SOFTWARE AVAILABLE-1989-90 AUDI RC
We've been having a problem with the car hesitating at 3K to 4K RPM
('90 90q20v) and it sure seems like this might be the problem. If only
it was as easy to flash a new BIOS into the Audi as it is my computer.
The URL is: http://www-nsa.nhtsa.dot.gov/
Enjoy,
Sean
