80/90 repair manuals worth anything?

I ran into a guy recently that sold his '90 20v.  He has the manuals for
sale, but hasn't set a price.  I don't have his number (he works in my
building, but I don't know him) or I'd pass it along.

How much should I offer him?  He's a salesman, so I see him once a month if
I'm lucky.  The manuals are in the trunk of his car, so if anyone wants me
to buy it for them, e-mail me direct with how much you want to pay and I'll
pick them up the next time I see him.
