Re: 91 200q stalling

Same old problem: my 91 200qw occasionally drops through the idle speed
and stalls when rolling to a stop or simply letting the clutch out at or
above about 3000rpms.

Does anybody know if there's switch or valve - similar to the ones on
the MC engine (where the switch is on the throttle body and the valve
sits on the back of the airbox, I believe) - that detects idle speed and
turns on the fuel flow again or performs some similar action to keep the
engine from stalling on the 3B (20v turbo) engine?

So far, my search has been inconclusive and it's getting pretty
annoying.

Thanks (in advance and to all the nice people who answered a similar
question a couple of weeks ago - you were in the right area, but I can't
find the same functionality for the 3B engine documented anywhere).

I rooted around in the Bentley for the '91 200q (3B) and can't find any
sort of "deceleration valve". I do know that there is an idle switch
which I can hear clicking as the throttle returns to idle position.
There is also that dashpot affair which prevents the throttle from
slamming shut down to idle position. Maybe yours is misadjusted or
broken?

I too had the same problem a couple of times, but it hasn't reappeared
for the last few months.
