 I have a 1986 Audi 5000S non-quattro with 3 speed automatic transmission. 
 Seal between differential and transmission was replaced about 15k ago; It's
 working o.k. for the moment, but judging by some of the horror stories I've
 read, I fear it's only a matter of time until the Audi Gods catch up with me
 and reduce it to shreds.
 
 If I thought the job was straightforward, I'd be very interested in Mike's 5
 speed and drive axles.  I wouldn't do the job myself -- I don't have the
 tools or the faith in my mechanical ability to tackle something like this --
 however, I would like to hear some feedback before I approach my local
 transmission shop and get laughed out the door.
 
 Any input will be appreciated!
