Hi Scott,
I know from my days at UofA that it gets hotter'n hell out there this
time of year. Last summer on a particularly hot (for Rhoda Rico) day, I got
into my car inserted key, stepped on clutch pedal and it went to the floor with
no resistance. Luckily engine was off and the car wasn't in gear. I had to
reach down and pull the pedal back up again. A few in and outs by hand (no
"A Clock Work Orange" jokes here please!) And it was fine again, and has given
me no trouble since. I did make sure to have my mechanic bleed the whole system
down through the slave.
So my guess is the Tucson heat got to it.
