On my 87CGT, I replaced my oem power antenna with a bosch(e?) powered(not
for raising and lowering, but for reception) antenna. I think the bosch
antenna and fuba are the same beast. Using some of the oem parts (angled
adapter), the new black whip fit perfectly in the original
hole in the rear fender. The install looks sharp w/out taking on the
vw look and the reception seems better than the original. I bought
the antenna at a local auto-stereo shop for about 50US$.
