 Exactly, and I DO think it's "the bomb."  In fact if you start your car   
and press on the brake pedal
about 4-10 times I venture to guess that the light will come on   
regularly.  "The bomb" might not need replacing immediately but I think   
that I'm going to do it.  Safety first....and it's only a matter of time.   
 I might add that I drive
110 miles per day minimum to Boston and back so....again, safety first.
 Figure on paying in the area of 265-295 for a new "bomb."

Hello Paul,
My 1990 CQ20V, and my red brake light comes on when i first step on the
brakes hard, only for a half second....my brakes seem to be working fine,   
so
i probably won't do anything about it. Dave HEad suggested my Bomb might   
be
bad, which is a good amount of $.

Is this what your brake light is acting like?
