Glad I got something right :) I'm surprised this isn't in the archives as
there was a large discussion on it about 2 years ago. I think it was
Christopher Ice who led the discussion and clued me in. When I changed cams
in my car I took a good look at the pump and made measurements that
indicated the problem, in my case, had nothing to do with wear; but with
the pump rod getting dirty. lubrications seems dependent on the high-tech
splash system.
