Re: a4 1.8t news

   >october and they will be *rare*. there are however, a huge order of 2.8s.

Report from Texas: I talked to Audi rep in San Antonio on Saturday.
According to his notebook, the new 5 cyl. replacement for current 6 will be
here in Oct - Nov, with the turbo not expected until perhaps Feb - March.
He also said that he expected ~$2,000 increase on both new configs, but had
no info on specs/option. Maybe this info is just for this area. Hopefully
   it is a little inaccurate...

It would be interesting to see what everyone else around the country is
   hearing...

I was chatting with a guy at Pass Weitz (New England/Eastern Mass), and
said pretty much the same thing: "Scheduled" for September for the '97s
(inc 1.8T with auto only), so assume October at best, November or De-
cember more likely; 5-valve V-6 is "scheduled" to start build in January,
so it will be likely March before the first ones start trickling over
here, with 1.8T 5-speed manuals in a similar time frame.

Just what I [[mis-?]remember] was told.

They've also got a nice '94 S4 with 25,000 miles on it . . . anyone wanna
buy my UrQ?
