FW: Power Steering Fluid

Hello all,

Thought I'd resend this, because it went out just as the digest went down.

My '90 80q's steering has been groaning while turning, lately. Getting 
pretty loud the last few days. I thought that I might be low on fluid, so I 
picked up a liter and ran the car for two minutes, and then checked the 
level like the manual says.

Two observations: There's fluid all over the outside of the resevoir (with 
lots of dirt in it; probably not too new), and the fluid is well above the 
MAX mark on the dipstick. If I don't need fluid, what do I need?

Any ideas would be appreciated,
