90Q air filter time estimate

an '88 90q should have a little more room than my
'91 20V, but the A/F is still tucked under the fender
(sorta).

Figure 20 min to do the job, and 20 min more to
figure it out. I do the following:

1) Remove plastic pice that acts as air intake from inside
front of engine compartment

2) disconnect air box from air runner (going toward throttle body)
you must really pull this apart.

3) before doing that (sorry for the out of order instructions),
disconnect any electrical thingies that might bind or snap once
you move the top of filter box.
\
4) Disconnect the snaps on the air box

5) Pull, twist, and generally persuade the top half
to the side. Now you can not only get the filter in and out,
but you can vacuum all the dirt out of the bottom of the air box.
Careful of the hot wire sensor.

6) Reverse the process. Note that re-snapping the palstic
air box together is a challence - no easy way that I see.
Have a long, large screwdirver handy as a lvere for both
dis-assembly and re-assembly.
