New Paint Job

So.....

Now that I have the engine purring I'm about to take the ol TQC in for a paint 
job. I've been told by some old timers that in Denver I should avoid clear coat 
paint jobs. Something about UV and excess heat build up dulling the pigment.

Others have said that newer paint systems have eliminated this by adding UV 
filters. Does anyone have any comment on this. 


We've almost reached concensus on the color. Somewhere near the forrest green. 
I'm looking at '93 -96 Audi colors. Any helpful comments on the choice of color.

I'm trying to resist the temptation to do something really radical (like an Audi 
tattoo on the forearm in matching color). I remember a '92 or '93 Coupe that had 
a beautifiul yellow. What say? Wouldn't a yellow bird of an Audi look rad! (This 
from a forty eight year old) Only trouble would be the attractive factor. "But 
officer, how could you spot me from so far away?"
