Audians of all stripes who hold their noses high should have nothing to fear
from any Volvo. I put a solid 600,000 miles on a variety of Volvos over the
years, including about 350,000 on spiffed up turbos before moving on to the
comfort, class and all-weather convenience of the quattro. I frequently
drive a 1995 T5R Volvo, which is the tarted up turbo. Nice car. But my
100CSQW with 143,000 miles (and brand new Michelin MXV4 Energy tires, to
throw my two cents into the tire argument currently raging) still outclasses
all the Volvos four years after I bought it fresh off the boat. Fear not the
forthcoming AWD Volvo 850. Audi is in and will remain in another class . . .
