RE: Continuing headlight woes...
You should be able to pretty much follow the instructions I posted a few
months ago for my 91 200qw.

Subject: Continuing headlight woes...
So, I installed the 100/55 9004s with the new harness from Competition
Limited on my 1990 200Q 10V.
Was reasonably simple to do except it took a while to get a good ground
connection on the right side.
Results are disappointing. It appears the reflective surface inside
each
light, but especially the right, has deteriorated significantly.
So much so, that no amount of wattage will solve my problem. So...
I was quoted $300/ea for new OEM (US) headlight assemblies (locally).
Rapid Parts quoted me $425/ea for the Euro-conversion lights.
Other option is driving lights, which are a compromise, but less $$$.
If I were certain the Euro lights would solve the problem, I'd probably
spring for them, but $850 isn't exactly pocket change for me.
Any feedback from those that have taken the conversion plunge would be
appreciated. Do they swap right in? Will I need yet another wiring
harness?
Or should I use the money for a chip upgrade and limit my driving to
daylight hours?
TIA,
Tom Smull
