RE: Spotting an A4Q
Hi,
It's really simple to tell the difference between an A4Q and a non-quattro A4:
Quattros have exterior mirrors and door handles painted with the same color
of the bodywork, whereas on the non-quattros they're black.
According to the Audi A4 advertising brochure the wheelbase of the quattro
is 4 millimeters "longer" than the non-quattro (2607 and 2603). That's
because the rear suspension is completely different.

Subject: Spotting an A4Q
On business in the UK (unfortunately I had to leave my new A4Q in the states),
I've noticed a lot of Audi's, BMW's, Mercs, etc. in the UK don't have the
usual bunch of emblems with engine displacement, etc. Why? It also has me
wondering: without looking at the obvious "quattro" emblems, is there any easy
way to tell the difference, at a distance, between an A4Q and a non-quattro A4?
I know the wheelbase of the quattro is 0.4 inches shorter, but that's not
exactly easy to spot at a distance.
