List IDs

Hi all,

I've just faxed the sketches for the list ID sticker to Darin, so he can
put them on his web page. While I was sketching away I followd the
discussion on this subject, but it seems there's no consensus about either
contents or shape of the thing- so I've put in a few thoughts of my own and
tried to include some of the comments that seemed to meet with some
approval on the list. Colours are yet to be decided upon, I've made them in
black because there's bound to be some difference of opinion on this
subject as well.
One point that's important for me: there are a couple of people on the list
(of which I'm one) who don't own an AWD model, so I've put the emphasis on
Audi rather than quattro. I thought it also a nice touch (maybe I'm being
oversensitive on this) to mention the fact that the group is 'worldwide'.
Sounds kinda nice 'n' grand methinks. Unfortunately license plate holders
wouldn't work for me. I'd prefer a sticker, and a static (non-permanent)
type would be much appreciated.

-Design one: Oval-shaped sticker, large 'QL' in serif italics, with the
rings superimposed, small, perhaps in colour. Text (serif italic as well)
along rounded shape of sticker, reading: 'Member of Internet Quattro-List,
Worldwide network of Audi Enthusiasts'
-Design two: Sans serif Futura lettering 'QNet' with the Q being filled in
by the latitude-longitude lines of a globe. *very* readable from a
distance. Test underneath: quattro-owner@coimbra.ans.net (sans serif
condensed)
-Design three: 'q-list' in a font designed on the lines of the 'quattro'
logo (all lower case) Additional text: 'Member of the Internet
Quattro-list' - 'Worldwide Network of Audi Enthusiasts' (sans serif
condensed)
Designs two and three are rectangular stickers, and for # three I've tried
reversing the text in the background.

Remember, none of these designs are finished IMO, neither in text nor in
shape. They're just something to get you started! I'm ready to listen to
your remarks and try new ideas...
