A/C Condensors, was To Be Ripped Off Or Not To Be
Thanks to the suffering and creativity of our own Mr. D'Amato, I removed
my A/C condensor (after having it ID'd as the culprit in a *way* too hot
car) and shied on down to the nearest radiator shop. They very kindly
welded the two leaks (it's a Modine aluminum job), cleaned it, painted
it, and gave it back to me for $30.50. Yup, that's thirty bucks.
Anyone out there with aluminum A/C condensors that leak, take them out,
making Real Sure to tape up the hoses to keep the crap out, and take
them to a radiator shop to be welded. Sure beats getting ripped off by
Chokin'.
