I know someone who ran a dipstick inside his car that lead to one side of
his dual exhausts ... he had a little squirt bottle of oil that he'd pump
into it and cause smoke to puff out of one side whenever he was trying to
setup an impromptu street race.  His opponents figured his motor was weak
and readily accepted, only to be REALLY embarassed a quarter-mile later!
