When my family was still residing in Malaysia, we would take
400mile roadtrips to the eastern coast of peninsula Malaysia,
and most roads then were 2 lane highways(one lane each way).

Because of the monsoons and timber trucks and poor upkeep,
there were huge potholes! Took out my Dad's E30 BMW 320i
wheel! However, several Citroens(DS, CX etc..) that we had
with its pneumatic suspensions would tackle them with
aplomb and panache! Surreal ride.

Ob Audi: Driving across the border from Vancouver BC into
the state of Washington today, I asked about bringing
an S4 into the US. Customs agent said that it should have
stickers under the hood/bonnet/door jamb saying that it meets
US EPA and DOT regulations for that model year car
you want to bring in. Failing that, you need to write to
the manufacturer to get a letter from the manufacturer saying
that it meets the regulations/requirements even though it
did not display the sticker.

Excise/Duties are 10% on the first US$1000 and 2.5% for the
remainder. Forgot to ask if it was based on new or used prices.
