clutch slave woes
Yes, the #$%@ car is still sitting in the driveway. My mechani
came by and (this is the short version) took out the retaining
clip but not the pin and wailed on the slave. Finally I realized
that the pin was still in and yup, out comes the slave, minus
the rod that actuates the piston inside the slave. I poked
around with a magnet and mirror, but bottom line is that somewhere
inside the tranny is a 2" long gold colored rod and a bit of rubber
boot. If you've got any bright ideas on how to get it out short of
dropping the tranny let me know. It's a very tight spot and I don't
think a magnet will work. Scott suggested going in via the starter
hole and I haven't tried that yet.
I miss my Opel Vectra...seriously thinking of losing this car!
