Speaking from experience here.  It's the wiring loom that goes from the 
backup light switch on the passanger's (hot) side and goes up and over 
the tranny to the drivers side....  That loom is pulled to tight over the 
tranny and the wires that go to the back-up light are frayed and shorting 
against the tranny.  BTW it's also a sign that your tranny mounts are 
soft and should be replaced........
