Pentosin follies?

Reading the list, saw the phrase "mineral hydraulic fluid" - NOT PS fluid or
brake fluid.

The light came on (or went out, if I'm wrong): I have a can of aircraft
hydraulic fluid, it's red, and marked "mineral hydraulic fluid", not
interchangeable with brake fluid, MIL spec, hydraulic fluid #5606.

It costs $13 a GALLON!!! Is this, could it be, is it possible that this is
the SAME STUFF?????

Or will I (or whoever is brave enough to make the experiment) destroy every
Audi within a 50 mile radius if I try this? Input please?

Next item: The guy who has the wheels stuck to the brake drums - slobber it
up with WD-40 or other penetrating oil and keep trying. When you finally DO
get it apart, a touch of anti-seize compound (auto parts store) where the
wheel was stuck will prevent you from going through this again should you
have a flat tire (be glad you're doing this voluntarily, and not stuck on
the side of the road with a wheel that WON'T come off!!). (preventive
maintenance hint for all?)

I also have a disc brake rear axle for an 86 5KCS - I've been told it will
bolt in, but you'll need the disc brake proportioning valve and some
obscure, unspecified relay or something under the dash - make ya a good deal
if interested. . . (I'm in Daytona, could ship if needed)

Last item: Have a 1972 300SEL MB for sale, power everything, sunroof, V-8,
automatic, air suspension, not bad condition considering age, I just have
too many cars/toys/projects. This makes a nice daily driver, or super
restoration starter since it is all there and mostly intact! Looking for
$3,500 OBO (asbestos flame-suit and Nomex underwear on and ready!) or might
take something else in trade - nothing that eats or needs paint, and no
ex-spouses either - already have some of those, thanks!

Best Regards

Mike Arman

86 5kcs (41,000 miles)
other four wheelers (inconsequential)
some German two wheelers, incl 1968 Clymer-Munch Mammoth (really!)
more stuff, some that floats, some that flies, some that sits & rusts.
slums (wanna buy some income property - please?)
