Resurface vs. 2-piece EMs

I hate to rouse a sleeping dragon, but WTH!   :-)

I've been in some discussions lately about whether to simply have the 
warped EM resurfaced or plunk down the big bucks for the purportedly 
better flowing 2-piece EM.  The main question I wanted to get some 
feedback on is: will the EM warp again after it has been resurfaced?
My experience is that after 8 years the QTC hasn't popped a stud, so 
my vote would be no.  I've heard anecdotal evidence that the problem
may recur.  Is there anyone out there who has had the EM resurfaced 
and subsequently had studs popped again?  If so, I'd be interested in 
hearing how old the car was when the first resurface was done ...
