5k CSTQ interior

I have owned 1 86 CST and am on my second 86 CSTQ, in all three cars the 
interior seems to crackle and squeak on every bump.This maybe of a minor 
concern compared to being worried about drive qualities and problems of 
cars and surely takes only a bit away from enjoying an AUDI, however, I 
found it to be annoying after a while.

 The thing is that 
the 
squaking is mostly attributed to leather and other components rubbing 
against it. When the car is loaded with 4 or 5 people, the only sounds I 
hear from the interior are belt buckles in the front seats rubbing 
against the steats. When I'm alone however, there are many more squeaks. 
I have been actively fighting them. Silicone grease, leather softening 
compounds, braces, tight spring loaded screws and insulating rubber 
strips have helped me eliminate almost all of them. 
The roads here are horrible. Even then, the interior of my Legend is vault 
quiet dispite it also being trimmed with leather and Audi being much more 
rigid car. I'm considering getting rid of leather and putting some cloth 
in there.

My question, for all of you leather interior AUDI owners out there, is 
whether you have encountered or have been annoyed by it and what have you 
done about it.
