NWRAQC at Portland International Raceway

Hi all,

the NW Region Audi quattro Club is hosting a track event at Portland
International Raceway and would like to extend an invitation to
everybody with Audis (quattro or not) or a VW Quantum Synchros to come
join in the fun.

What:	Track event
Where:	Portland International Raceway, Portland, OR
When:	Friday, October 18 1996, 7:30am - Dusk

The event starts at 7:30am and end at dusk with the following proposed
schedule:

7:30am-8:15am:	Registration, check-in and tech check.
8:15am-10am:	Classroom instruction, parade laps and track
familiarization.
10am-12 noon:	Vehicle dynamics exercises with instruction.
			-OR-
For those who want optimal track time and have the appropriate
driving ability and experience: you can join a run
group and start your laps! Have it your way - RUN ALL DAY!
12 noon-1pm:	Lunch break (bring your own lunch or go to a restaurant in
the vicinity).
1pm-1:20pm: Drivers' meeting.
1:22pm-Dusk:	Run the rest of the day in groups.

Complimentary refreshments and munchies will be served all day to keep
your energy up.

There will be expert instructors available for the entire day. Helmets
are available on site for a $10.00 rental fee on a first come, first
serve basis (there won't be enough for everybody, so if you have a
helmet or can borrow one prior to the event, bring it).

The event will cost you, at most, $89.00. The pricing structure is as
follows:

20 to 30 participants:	$89.00
31 to 35: $85.00
36 and up: $79.00

This is a great opportunity to run at a track like PIR at very little
cost (comparatively speaking). Registration deadline is 10/5, late
registrations will be $5.00 more.

Contact Stan Sokol (President of the NWRAQC) at (360) 748-7920 for more
information or to register.

It is not necessary to be a member of NWRAQC if you don't live in
Washington state, Oregon or Western Canada.
