Well they do have a A4 or two back in germany that are built to the NATCC 
specs (NJTH....) ........ The problem is that the series is not that 
viable yet.... And IF Audi enter's they plan on doing it right (Read BIG 
$$$$$), therefore the exposure needs to be there.  Remember they have 
been burned here in the US before (Trans-Am Comes to mind)
