RE: CQ - removing dash "kick panel"
Kennon, my CQ is non-airbag, no knee bolster, so not sure how to get
your panel off.
Once you get it off and you're fixing the crack, glue probably isn't
enough (NJTH). Try drilling a small (1/8" or so) hole at the _very_ end
of the crack, to stop it from continuing, and then reinforce across the
existing crack after you glue it. The glue will make it look nicey-nice,
the transverse-crack reinforcement will keep it glued. Some choices for
reinforcement include fiberglass reinforced strapping tape (if it's a
small unstressed crack, clean the trim piece *very* well, like wipe it
with alcohol) or epoxying a strap of metal or wood to the inside of the
piece across the crack (clean and abrade the trim piece to give the
epoxy something to grab hold of).
