Fellow listers and Digesters, (no audi content, but interesting)
  Seen in an issue of a british magazine, that VW is introducing
its VR6 motor minus one cylinder.  Yes they're coming out with a
VR5!
In the "cutaway drawing" pictured in the magazine, the motor looks
very simular to its big brother(sister) minus one cylinder.
The crank looks more "spaced" between con rods than the VR6.
Rated hp is said to be 170!!
So now Audi started the 5 cyl movement, developed and improved it,
and everyone's going to 5's. ovloV, Honda, Saab and now VW!

When's BMW coming out with their 5 cyl version? (Probably waiting  for
Merc to take the lead on that one!)
