I recently changed the transaxle fluid on my 90 using Redline 75W-90 and I
am now noticing very small LEAKS coming from the bottom of the final drive
cover on the transmission case. Hardly any fluid is being lost at all (not
even enough to drip to the ground)...but it is leaking; there is no
mistaking that the light-orange fluid present on your hand after you run it
along the bottom of the transmission case IS Redline gear oil...
Who knows...maybe the seals on a transmission with 115,000 miles on it are
prone to at least some leakage.
