A4 opinions...

Hi..

I'm considering buying a 1997 A4 quattro 5-speed to replace my 1995
Taurus SHO 5-speed.

The A4 is considerably slower than the SHO, but handles better and is
much more refined.  In addition, I'm hoping not to have so many
niggling problems with a German car.  Can anyone tell me about
service/reliability expectations?  While leather is nice, how well
does it hold up to harsh winters and summers?

Thanks for the info.  If I can get my price for the SHO, I should be
in the market for the A4 real soon.
