[Q] '86 5KS Radio's backlight not lit

Hi,

Does anyone know what are some possible solutions to a radio's display
that's not very bright at all.  During the day I can see a faint outline
of the radio station, but it's totally dark at night.  This is on a
cassette radio that came with the car ('86 5KS).

Do I need a new radio? bulb? fuse?  How much will it cost?  I'm thinking
about getting a car cd player/radio too (figure I could get the display
back and a cd player to boot!)  Do most electronics places (ie. Good Guys,
Circuit City) install in Audis?  From the q-list it sounds like Audi
stereos (ones from Audi) can be a pain, so are aftermarket ones a piece 
of cake?
