The picnic was great.  Too bad rain kept many people away.  Last year there
were 60 people; this year there were about 20-30 people.  Two new members
took home 3rd and 4th in the concourse.  I enjoyed the tech talks and the
large amount of time I could spend talking to Ned without a crowd of people
waiting to ask their questions.
