from a 'what is a super touring car?' brochure which describes the rules for
the natcc (i picked it up at the laguna seca race):

weights:  front wheel drive cars must weigh a minimum of 975 kgs., rear
wheel drive cars 1000 kgs., and all wheel drive cars 1040 kgs. - all without
driver aboard.
