As an alternative, try the transparent orange and red paints available at
most well-stocked hobby stores (Tamiya X-26 and X-27, respectively). It's
for detail-freak model car builders who want to add amber and red color to
the clear lenses of model car kits. Mix the orange and red to get the shade
you prefer. It comes in little 10cc bottles, but should still constitute a
lifetime supply.
