Re: In need of a heater blower-motor

I would suggest getting the new one for two reasons:

1) this blower replacement is a NIGHTMARE, largely because there
is insufficient room to get the old one out. I struggled for a hour and
nearly broke the unit getting it out.

2) the new one is a redesign to give you additional clearance; it isn't
much (an inch or so), but it is just enough to make the replacement
relatively straightforward. if you try putting in a motor of the original
design, I would bet money you will break it.

also, have fun with the glove compartment attachment bolts!

$95 price sounds good ; i paid $138 mail-order.

Subject: In need of a heater blower-motor

My heater blower-motor for the '90 90q20v is going. As I check
around for a replacement, the best price I can come up with is from
Linda - Carlsen Audi, $ 95 US. that is a new one.

Some places at first quoted me re-manufactured ones, but only
declined when I actually placed the order. They then told me they
 were not available.

Does anyone know where to buy a re-manu. blower motor, and for how
 much ?

What is the best price for a new one ??

 Thank you.
