Think about it for a minute. If I'm searching the archives for "cv joint", I
probabaly want to search all the archives. To do this the way you suggest
requires that I download a bunch of the archives, which, aside from taking a
long time and consuming what little is left of the 1.2GB drive on my laptop,
defeats the purpose of having the archives on a central web server. If I search
on "cv joint" what I'd really like to see is a list of all the messages that
contain "cv joint", maybe in ascending date order while still grouping together
related threads.

Sorry if I'm wasting bandwidth here, but I'd really like to see an achive search
tool that give me quick, concise answers to my questions.

BTW, I'm using IE3.0 final, final, final, no more betas please. You know, the
one that makes me change my proxy server configuration before I can access web
sites inside my firewall.
