    I jumped from 205-55/16 Pirelli P7000's...to a set of 215-45/17 Dunlop SP
sport 8000's.  The handling difference was very noticeable...but also very
expensive.  If you dont have a set of rims that you are drooling to get,
  you might be able to skip it altoghether.
    just more flimsy advice...
