RE: 1988 5KCSTQ in need of work



First suggestion, get a Bentley Repair Manual for your car. The Bentley
for my Coupe quattro shows the A/C compressor clutch is removable from
the compressor itself, yours might be also, for a significant cost
savings.

Your growling does indeed sound like the throwout bearing. If you are
intending to replace it you own self, GET A BENTLEY FIRST! Good luck,
the oversight by the Audi Gods will require it...
